Van Helsing: Possible surprise ending alert!

Shadowdancer

First Post
In the mail at work today, I received a press kit for "Van Helsing." When I opened the folder, the very first thing I saw was a single sheet of paper at the front of all the other press material. On that sheet of paper were three paragraphs:

"Universal Pictures and the filmmakers request your help in preserving some surprises for the audience who won't have the chance to see VAN HELSING until it opens on May 7.

"We ask that you refrain from revealing plot developments involving the characters of Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) and Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale) in the final 30 minutes of VAN HELSING in your coverage of the film.

"We appreciate your support in helping us retain a few surprises for summer moviegoers. We believe the audience will thank you as well."

I don't know what the surprises they don't want revealed are. Let the speculation begin. :)

Kate Beckinsale is going to be a half-vampire, and is Hugh Jackman's daughter. Hugh Jackman was a vampire, but got cured by the Vatican, so he's almost immortal.

or

What other classic of horror villainy has not been showcased in this movie? Jekyll/Hyde? The Mummy? Freddy Kreuger and Jason Vorheese? Witchblade?

Ooh, Kate Beckinsale in freaky bone bikinis. Hrmmm.

Van Helsing discovers that the monsters he fought were just frontrunners for the massive Deadite invasion, and Ash will be his descendant!

They won't be doing The Mummy. VH is done by the person that did The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. But if Brendan Fraisier shows up.........

Y'know, telling people that there's a surprise ending is nearly as bad as telling them what the ending was.

You could have put a spoiler notice in the thread title, but instead you broadcasted the fact that there's a surprise ending to everyone browsing the forum.

Nice work, you person who liked the D&D movie.

(See? Now I'm not calling him a moron any more.)

Van Helsing grows metal claws when he gets angry at Kate really being a vampire babe in a leather cat suit? :)
