Van Helsing: Possible surprise ending alert!

Y'know, telling people that there's a surprise ending is nearly as bad as telling them what the ending was.

You could have put a spoiler notice in the thread title, but instead you broadcasted the fact that there's a surprise ending to everyone browsing the forum.

Nice work, you person who liked the D&D movie.

(See? Now I'm not calling him a moron any more.)
Well, that's your opinion, and you're welcome to it, but I strongly disagree. Besides, I didn't say there is a surprise ending, just that there possibily is a surprise ending. The movie company indicates there are surprises of some sort involving those two characters. When watching the movie, it might turn out to be so obvious that it's not a surprise at all. Or they might just be yanking our chains.

And for your information, I actually did like the D&D movie. If you didn't like the movie, well again, that is your opinion and you're welcome to it. But if your statement was meant to be an insult, it wasn't. So 'nice work' right back at ya.

*sigh* You still are. By saying "I'm not calling him a Moron anymore", you still let him know that you *DID* in the first place. I wanted you to take out any name calling BEFORE the OP saw it, and before you hurt him, and BEFORE he might wish to retaliate, and thus degrade this thread in a fight.
Which is why you quoted my message in its entirety, including the part where I called him a moron, right?

Yes, clearly you have dedicated yourself to stamping out all evidence of moronage. Share with us your wisdom, O Great... Moronage-evidence-stamper. Tell us what we should do and think.

Please don't fling insults. You're not being nice. There are ways of expressing one's displeasure that don't include offending or denigrating others. Please, Wrath, apologize.

I'll do you one better... Let's give it a rest on all sides, please.

EDIT: And while I'm at it, I don't see any problem with what Shadoowdancer posted - any movie worth its salt will have one or two surprises in it's ending, so there's not really a lot to say here.

There is a difference between having a surprise in the ending and having a surprise ending.

When people are warned that a movie has a surprise ending, they begin to watch out for it. When it comes, whether it was forseen or not, people feel that they expected it, and the surprise is ruined.

If you were holding a surprise birthday party for a friend, and someone told your friend that they "might" have a surprise birthday party waiting for them when they got home, would you really not feel that the surprise was diminished?

This person deserves denigration. Not only was the possible impact of Van Helsing reduced, they like the D&D movie. No death could be too horrible for such a one, no insult too vicious.

With only a modicum of effort, the statement about the possible surprise ending could have been placed within the post itself, where no one would have come across it accidentally. Shadowdancer instead felt it necessary to force anyone browsing to read the potential spoiler.

But instead of striking a blow for spoiler-haters everywhere, Henry instead chooses to spend his time being concerned about the names directed at Shadowdancer.

EDITED TO REMOVE INSULTS.

dude, seriously you need to relax. It is only a post on a msg board, about a movie. it is not the end of the world.
Hey maybe that's the suprise ending. :)

edit:
He didn't even tell us the ending. Just the possibilty of a surprise and left it out there for us to speculate. If said there was a suprise ending to SpiderMan or any other movie, and everyone started to speculate about it, would you be equally pissed?

A crossover with Day After Tomorrow? Fascinating...

I'll bet that Kate Beckinsale's character's actually a man.

Sometimes surpise endings suck thou. Look at Burtons Planet of the Apes, great movie, but the ending ruined it for me.
