Van Helsing: Possible surprise ending alert!

Sometimes surpise endings suck thou. Look at Burtons Planet of the Apes, great movie, but the ending ruined it for me.
I agree; they would have been better off keeping the old "surprise" ending than trying to make up a new surprise ending. The only thing surprising is that it made absolutely no sense whatsoever...

The ending will set everything up for the sequel so there is probably some one who is manipulating the monsters. Van Helsing knows the mastermind and may even be related the the person. He will be teaming up with an English detective and his doctor pal to defeat the monsters released by a particular professor who went turned his genius to crime.

I always assumed that somehow he had actually went to a different planet, or maybe a different dimension, so when he went back in time he found that he was still on Ape world. Alternatively, you could figure that his efforts in the future caused some Apes to go back in time and rewrite history making them always the dominant ones (didn't the original series have something like that?)

I'm not saying the ending didn't suck. I'm just saying it kinda made sense (or at least I hope it did since I expected it)

Which is why you quoted my message in its entirety, including the part where I called him a moron, right?

Yes, clearly you have dedicated yourself to stamping out all evidence of moronage. Share with us your wisdom, O Great... Moronage-evidence-stamper. Tell us what we should do and think.
For what it's worth, I was keeping a close watch of this thread, and intended to delete all my posts as soon as you completely removed your insults.

You didn't, but I went ahead and deleted my posts anyways. As a gesture of goodwill.

It's my understanding that
the surprise ending of the second "Apes" movie, the Tim Burton one, is the same original ending as the book. I've never read the book, but that is what I read on the Internet right after Burton's film came out.

I put this in spoiler mode so I wouldn't ruin the surprise ending for anyone who hasn't read the book.

I note that the title of this thread has still not been changed.

At the risk of validating the argument, I simply have to say that the title is "Possible surprise ending alert!" I instantly thought that there might be spoilers within based on that title. The smart and obvious thing to do for anyone who wished to remain spoiler free, would be to NOT open this thread.

I think the title has not been changed since the nature of your posts so far has done little to win anyone over to your side. Insults and tantrums do not win allies.

Mods, I hope I'm not overstepping bounds, and I apologize if I have.
