Van Helsing: Possible surprise ending alert!

At the risk of validating the argument, I simply have to say that the title is "Possible surprise ending alert!" I instantly thought that there might be spoilers within based on that title. The smart and obvious thing to do for anyone who wished to remain spoiler free, would be to NOT open this thread.
The title *is* a spoiler.

Seems like an appropriate way to treat Wrath, though. please come back. We need you badly in this thread.

I always assumed that somehow he had actually went to a different planet, or maybe a different dimension, so when he went back in time he found that he was still on Ape world. Alternatively, you could figure that his efforts in the future caused some Apes to go back in time and rewrite history making them always the dominant ones (didn't the original series have something like that?)
If it only makes sense by the viewers having to make up backstories that are not in the movies, then it doesn't make sense.

Sure, we can force it to make sense by creating explanations, but that's true of just about anything.

IMO it's not.
If he said "Van Helsing: Surprise Ending!!" Then yeah he would have spoiled it, But even then you still had the option to go in and read it. By adding "possible" it means there could be one and lets speculate on what it is. Possibilities are not definates. Further more by adding "alert" he reinforces the fact that there is a possible surprise and warns you not to come in if you son't want to speculate on it.

But again that is only my opinion. :D

As for my speculation:

Kate gets bitten by Dracula, thus becoming a Vampire and Van must hunt her down in the sequal.

"Now, this isn't definite, but it's just possible that you might find a surprise party when you walk through that door."

Do you all really think the surprise wouldn't be ruined in such a case?

The title *is* a spoiler. Anyone could speculate that a movie might have a surprise ending, just as any person might speculate that they'll find a surprise party waiting for them. If they even thought of such a thing. However, someone mentioning that there might be a surprise party (and calling it an "alert") introduces it into the person's mind, causing them to suspect there is such a thing.

Right.

That said, you seem to be the only one who is offended by it to the point of being insulting.

Wouldn't you say that you are over-reacting ? Is it such a tragedy that you must compromise your reputation on this message board ?

Again, I humbly suggest: Let It Go.

What difference would it make if every person in the world agreed with me? What if everyone disagreed with me? The point would still be valid, no matter what - popular opinion is irrelevant.

You have a valid point. I never debated that. It's just not such big a deal. It's not like the thread title said "Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father * " or somesuch. It has little to no effect on how one will experience the movie.

You over-reacted. Admit to it, and let's move on.

This person deserves denigration.

Not here, they don't. I have been enormously impressed by this site and it's "friendliness". This is yet another thread in which you are name calling and upsetting people.

Please try to keep your insults to a minimum. I'm growing weary of reading threads that denigrate into this kind of garbage.

/back on topic

My guess is that the "suprise" will simply be more monsters surviving...leading the way to more profits and a sequel. Which is fine with me, so long as it's fun!

So, uh, anyone who's seen the movie wanna spoil it for me? I don't feel like plunking down hard coin to see this load, but now I'm kinda intrigued by this whole "studios begging total strangers not to talk about the movie". Just spoiler tag it when you do. Wouldn't want Wrath to start a new round of complaints.
