Variant Defensive Strike Feat -- Balanced?

Unattainable Ideal
The standard Defensive Strike feat (from Oriental Adventures) allows a character using full defense one round to make an attack on their next round at a +4 bonus against an opponent who missed them while they were using full defense.

One of my players wants to do something a little different, sort of a cross between this feat and the Agile Riposte feat from Modern:

Alternate Defensive Strike
Pre-requisites:
Dodge, Combat Expertise
Benefit: During a round in which you take the full defense action, you may make an attack of opportunity against any opponent who attacks you and misses. This attack counts as one of your attacks of opportunity for the round, and you do not gain any additional attacks of opportunity as a result of this feat.

It differs from Defensive Strike in that the return attack takes place on the opponent's round, as an attack of opportunity, and does not gain a +4 bonus. It differs from Agile Riposte in that the character must take the full defense action, and is not limited to the target of their Dodge ability. Obviously, a character with this feat would benefit from Combat Reflexes, but that seems fair.

It seems balanced to me. Am I missing anything?
