Vault of the Dragon Kings vs. Guardians of Dragonfall

My Midwood campaign is now on track to finishing up (and it's 3.5 incarnation). It won't be soon, but at least I can count the number of adventures left on the fingers of one hand. (And when the players hear the title of the final adventure, I anticipate them all going "ooh" and realizing this is The Big Finale).

So, naturally, it's time to start planning the follow-up, which will likely be 4E.

Chekov's Gun dictates that, after having the BBEG green dragon Gax MIA throughout the entire first campaign, which mostly took place in the shadow of her lair, that it's time for everyone to figure out what's going on with her. (In fact, the surviving heroes will be tasked with just this, as part of a cluster of overlapping and competing tasks put before the now-famous heroes.)

Both Paizo and Goodman Games have put out modules dealing with dragons' graveyards, and I'd like to have at least some of the action of the new (paragon level) campaign involve breaking into this holy of holies in the Dragonsbirth Mountains.

But which module to pick?

Vault of the Dragon Kings has the virtue of being a tournament module, which means it's probably appropriately scary for a dragon graveyard. I want the heroes, even if they're paragons, to be sneaking in and running like hell on the way out.

Behind Door #2 is Guardians of Dragonfall, which is pretty explicitly about going to a dragon graveyard to solve a mystery, which means it may well have some good bits to help shape what I'm going to do.

Does anyone have experience with either of these? Or, better yet, both? Do they fit well together?

Any advice on the campaign idea in general?

Vault of the Dragon Kings is a much better module. It is longer (more to do), the monsters are scarier, the traps are deadlier, and the plot has fewer holes. It even has a PDF follow up adventure (assuming you aren't buying the $80 tournament pack) available for when the players are ready to leave.

If you want a 11th level adventure from Paizo, pick up The Demon Within. It isn't dragon themed, so it may not fit your needs, but I would recommend it to anyone (aside from Jack Chick readers).
