This mid-month release includes a new mechanism, encounter libraries! Accessable through the GameMaster -> Show Encounter Library menu, this lets you see a selection of portfolios in a collapsible and searchable file tree. This is used for our new Rise of the Runelords AP release, described below!

New Releases!

  • The Rise of the Runelords package is now available for purchase! This includes all the encounters from the AP, in an easy to search format and with paizo's art. No additional packages are required to make use of these portfolios, even though they draw on races from the Bestiary and other sources!

Enhancements & Changes

  • For NPCs, the "Customize" checkbox on the Background tab has been replaced by a "Customize" button. You can now separately choose whether skill points, feats, or other facets of your character are customized.
  • Users with the Bestiary package can now add customized abilities to existing monsters, allowing you to add your own immunities, resistances, new natural attacks, and more to any monster! Just click the "Customize" button at the top-right of the Background tab, then select the "Customize Racial Special Abilities?" checkbox in the window that appears. You'll see many new options being added to the Background tab for your race.
  • Added new "Weapon becomes touch attack", "Weapon uses elemental damage", "Add spell to class spell list", "Weapon adds 1d6 energy damage", and "Change template hit dice" adjustments.
  • When its weapon is equipped, the "Spell Storing" item power now appears on the in-play tab, allowing you to choose which spel is stored there.

Bug Fixes

  • Rude Songs wasn't making all perform skills class skills.
  • The Stone Giant was missing its Rock attack.
  • The Stone Giant Elder was missing from the race list and encounter builder.
  • Many old adjustments could incorrectly be selected from the Personal tab.
  • The Runechill Hatchet wasn't adjusting itself appropriately for different sizes of character.
  • The Quick Draw feat now affects thrown rocks.
  • Monks with racial hit dice were not displaying the correct attack bonus for Flurry of Blows.
  • The Undead Lord template from the Tome of Horrors was calculating an incorrect number of feats for the character.
  • The CR displayed on the dashboard could overwrite the display of the APL.
  • The channel resistance bonus added by the Desecrate and Consecrate spell adjustments was not quite right.
  • The Desecrate spell adjustment was not available to all users.
  • The Lamia was missing low-light vision, and some of its spells had the wrong save DC. Its Wisdom Drain touch attack is now displayed on the Weapons tab.
  • You now get a bonus / penalty for flight Maneuverability even if your Fly speed isn't "natural" (as per feedback from Paizo).
  • The "Fly" adjustment now takes the value as the caster level of the spell, and applies half that as a bonus to your Fly skill, instead of the full bonus like it used to.
  • Damage for the Talons of Leng wasn't being applied properly.
  • The Runewell Amulet was adding its bonus to normal armor, not natural armor.
  • Karzoug's Burning Glaive now correctly adds +1d6 fire damage.
  • The Lamia Harridan's Rake damage was incorrect.
  • The "All Skills" adjustment now allows you to select the type of the bonus to add.
  • Spells from levels you're not allowed to take are no longer excluded from the statblock - you added them, so it's up to you to decide what to do with them.

Data File Authoring

  • The "Helper.NatHasIter" tag can now be applied to natural weapons to indicate that they get iterative attacks.
  • The "Flurry of Blows" racial ability (raMnkFlurr) now gives the character flurry attacks as a monk with level equal to its racial hit dice, minus any difference / extra set into the abValue field.
