I only know the 1e take on it, from years back. It was out for a while when I got to it, but I loved it. Great stuff.

If I was into Mongoose's Runequest, I expect I'd like that version more (these days). As I said, I've only ever tried the one version, so my vote is not indicative of any kind of real comparison.
