What is the vestige pact I've been reading about it, but i can't figure it out at all. Who are we making the pact with?

The vestige pact is based on the 3e binder. The basic idea is, vestiges are the remnants of powerful entities that have been annihilated- but a tiny vestige remains.

That's the way that I think of it; channeling the spirits of powerful people and beings. Could make for some interesting role playing.

Oh i see.
Theres a article on dragon magazine about most of the pacts and who you make the pacts with. The vestige was like litchis, mummies, vampire and the like so it confused me.
so my next question is, what does vestige mean?

1) A trace of something that is disappearing or no longer exists.
2) The smallest amount (used to emphasize the absence of something): "without a vestige of sympathy".

so just what you guys said. Then why were most of the examples they gave undead creatures?
