Victorian Steampunk Monster Hunters - Best System?

"Unhallowed Metropolis" is another victorian steampunk game. Its very cthulhu-esque, with a world overrun by the undead. The setting is kind of futuristic neo-victorian. Socially and culturally it is aprox. 1850. And its been like that the last 200-300 years except for the world moving ever closer to a total colapse and exteinction of mankind.
It is very much implied that PC's stand no real chance of "winning", instead the goal is to survive long enough to make a difference.

I haven't looked much at the mechanics, but they seem simple enough. I'm a little concerned that the wound system might be a little to complex for my taste though.

Also its the first game i've seen with a paragraph on combat-corsets:)

In no particular order:

Spycraft 2.0, although you'd probably want to add Fragile Minds to it and you'd probably find The Big Score (different gear systems) helpful too.

Etherscope, as mentioned.

OGL Steampunk.

Putting my vote down for Savage Worlds. Somenoe else pointed out Rippers (which uses the SW system) but I can't REALLY comment on it since I don't own the Rippers book.

Hvae you seen Rippers for Savage Worlds?

Its a plot point book/campaign.

I second this. I have both Rippers and the Companion, and they're quite good. Its got a nice bonus thats its the plot point campaign in the setting book, and the campaign is fun, if a bit full of name-dropping.

You will need the Savage Worlds Rulebook, too (Rippers is the setting book, and has setting rules information like Reason, Status and RipperTech, plus all the GM details) but the Explorer's Edition is only $10.
