Video Games and Music

The ones that get the most play for me (in no particular order):
The Crow
Heavy Metal
(1 & 2)
Strange Days
Miami Vice
(1 & 2)
1984
Judgement Night
Godzilla
(The American movie)

There’s been a few video game soundtracks I’ve heard that I’d consider buying a CD of, but most of them are ultimately too repetitive for me. Even though I liked the music while gaming, I wouldn’t want to play them on my home or car sound systems
Judgment Night! Oh man, I haven’t listened to that soundtrack in years but it was a mainstay for me in the 90s. That opening De La Soul/Teenage Fanclub track from the titles was awesome!

Thats a good list!

I can still remember the ditty, or part of it, from Pebble Beach Golf for the NES which I rented a few times. I have definitely done my share of whistling of of video game tunes in my time. Probably the iconic Super Mario Bros. one and Angel's Fear from Secret of Mana the most.

Some of my favorites

This was originally on Sega CD, than Saturn, then the Playstation 1, and finally remastered on the Switch/PS4/XBSX.

And then they just went as strong with the Sequel

and of course, this is the remastered version, but when first hearing it...

But, since this is a D&D site, how can we forget some of the greatest Video Game music ever composed

and this one with it's Conan's reminisce, absolutely one of the greatest tunes, video games or not, ever composed!!!!

And this one, not even close to being as famous or great as the other two, but perhaps one of my personal favorites. It's one I heard over and over and over and over when I played and never got tired of hearing it.

Great soundtrack but what an accursed cast, only 2 out of 5 of the leads don't have significant "controversies" or "allegations" sections on their Wikipedia pages (lucky they cast Emilio not his brother!). I was thinking "Oh man nobody talks about that movie anymore" but I suspect that may have something to do with it.

Yeah, the movie was pretty forgettable except for Denis Leary doing his Denis Leary comedic schtick (as a villain).

We listened to that soundtrack on repeat for awhile it was so good.

Oh man, I feel like when your Wikipedia article contains a link to another Wikipedia article titled "Weinstein effect" you really just need to pack it in.

It's not even the most cursed film cast Denis Leary ended up with, see also: The Ref
