(Vile) Best PrC?

I'm not sure about most powerful, but Thrall of Orcus is my number one favorite, but that's because I'm a big fan of the Prince of the Undead (hence the Brief History I did of him...to be revised soon).

My second-favorite would be the ur-priest. It just strikes me as incredibly cool that these guys cast divine spells by stealing divine power. Roleplaying opportunities abound!

My favorite "Vile" type PrC doesn't actually come from the book of vile darkness, it's the copulent from the first Ambient PrC book.

Of the stuff in the book, Ur-Priest pretty much gets my vote with Warrior of darkness coming in a close second.

I'm fond of the Ur-Priest. Really fond.. heh.. if I ever played in a Planescape campaign, I would very much want to play a Gatecrasher/Ur-Priest "Thief of the Gods" type character. Maybe try to pick up the Anarchic template later on somehow.

After that I like the Warrior of Darkness and Disciple of Dispater PrCs.

I'm gonna have to go with Thrall of Mephistopheles, because, well, fire is cool. Of course, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for fat goat-headed demons with infernal man-boobies, so the Thrall of Orcus is okay in my book as well.

The Cancer Mage is pretty low on my list because I found it in pretty poor taste. Most of the stuff in BoVD is gross in a "Bleeah! Necrophilia! Human Sacrifice! Rob Zombie!" kind of way, but I think cancer hits a little too close to home to make it a (ahem) tasteful addition to a gaming book. Errr, anyway, sorry to veer off-topic for a moment...Fire! Fire and flames for Lord Mephistopheles! :D

I really like the one with all the iron abilities. Is it called Disciple of Darkness? I don't remember.

That would be the Disciple of Dispater, which is my favorite one too. Although, in terms of raw munchitude, doesn't Thrall of Demogorgon eventually get that split-minds ability similar to Demogorgon's? If so, that could be pretty abusable.

Okay, now that I've actually looked at the book, it says ToD gets Dual Actions and Two Personas, at 4th and 8th levels respectively. Dual Actions allows you to, twice per day, take two full rounds of actions in one round (that's better than haste!). Two Personas gives you multiple personality disorder and the ability to multiclass freely with no XP penalty. Pretty nice.
