Villains & Vigilantes @ GenCon!

If you followed the "GenCon Shopping List" thread, you may have noted that I'm going to be running a game of Villains and Vigilantes at one of the open gaming areas at GenCon.

For convenience, I'll probably run it as a 4-5 hour session (thereabouts) in the afternoon of Saturday or Sunday (when they won't miss me too much at the MEG table). I am putting together a character generation package which I will probably post here when it is ready (although I may have to revoke this offer, since it will probably include scans of certain pages of the main rulebook).

Teflon Billy: I need to know WHEN would be best for you.

Everyone Else: The game I've written (with help from Denise) will handle between 4 and 12 players quite nicely (If you don't like games with lots of players, don't let that scare you off, this is gonna work REAL GOOD like, eh!). You can sign up for it here.

Actually, Jeff Dee did make a new edition in the last few years... can't remember the web address for it, but what I really like about it is the various revised rules for V&V that he posted before doing the whole new game.

Saturday afternoon at some point would be fine. I'm open. I haven't actually signed up for even one thing:)

I'm mostly coming to hang around, buy stuff, meet people and drink:)

"convention gaming" places a distant 5th:)

Unless someone coughs up a gem like this Villains and Vigilantes thing that you've got going Jason...that shoots to the top of the list.

That and possibly having a game of Revolt on Antares with Chris Pramas (assuming I find a copy).

There's room for two more players there if I do:)

The Latest on V&V (Living Legends)

Basically, it's dead. It looks like Jeff Dee tried to bring it back but he and Jack Herman couldn't get it together. Too bad. I've logged more V&V hours than just about any other RPG aside from CoC and I certainly would've given Living Legends a try.

Hah! You could probably convince him to bring his copy in exchange for a chance to play! :D

Well, I am planning to look for one, but best to cover all eventualities:)

Please tell him to pack his copy.
