Has anyone else heard anything else about this movie? I know it's not fantasy or scifi but hopefully it will be a good period movie.

Of course, David Franzoni is the man who wrote Amistad (1997) and King Arthur (2004), as well as did the screenplay & story for Gladiator (2000).

Ten-to-one the title for this changes when it's finally released, since it wasn't too long ago that Anthony Hopkins starred as the cannibal doctor of the same name in the movie Hannibal.
