Ok so my father bought me Vista as a gift, and I installed it this morning, I was able to install Adobe Reader 8 after some brief jumping through hoops, and thought ok great, lets see if I can wiggle Acrobat 8 Professional through the same hoop, nope.
I am getting the message Acrobat is not Activated, try activating or reinstalling.
Then I try watching a movie (Windows Media Player has frills but sucks for movies) I try finding a media player which will do the trick, notta, nothing, they all require DirectX 9.0 I have 10.0 thanks to the Vista.
Gripe, moan, shotgun to CPU moment aside, I actually like the fraking program.
I wish that I could trick the software into letting me use Adobe, I am in the middle of converting all my DM notes to PDF, and this is an inopportune moment to not have a printer.
Any Ideas about how I can get my adobe to work?
