Cute but dangerous
Hi all
Probably a long shot, but worth a try
Husband has been working on something cool for a quiz site he is admin at. ow it is almost done, except for an even cooler ending:
I am looking for the following voices to appear in an online game with 10-20 seconds of text per actor (it's for a "victory ceremony" video for a pretty elaborate HTML-based game where the player, who has qualified through many trials, will be selected and introduced into the pantheon as a new Olympian). If you want to have some fun voicing a Greek God, please let me know - the voice will be used in a video clip with a statue of the respective God/Goddess showing in the image at the time.
No financial compensation, just for fun. Actor credit will be given in the game's end title screen (real name or screen name as you wish).
If you want to know which site this is for or are interested in picking up one of the roles right away, send a PM.
Here's the list of characters with desirable voice characteristics - but if you think you can fit the respective Olympian with a different voice and do him/her justice, by all means, go for it!
FEMALES
Aphrodite - Soft female. Can introduce some (subtle) hint of romance.
Artemis - Medium range female. Should have a certain strength, but never negative.
Athena - A wise female, low voice for a lady. Not too harsh.
Hera - Strong, dominant female. May come across slightly "bitchy".
MALES
Apollo - Relatively average male, firm but not too powerful.
Ares - Tenor or baritone male, stern voice. A bit rough.
Dionysos - Bass/baritone, comedian. Sounding slightly drunk is a plus.
Hades - Gloomy, preferably bass.
Heracles - Heroic, young tenor.
Hermes - Youthful tenor or teenage boy, rogueish, funny
Zeus - Bass or baritone, stern, noble. Voice of a king. Last to speak and somewhat key, so needs to be done well.
So, if you got a mic, why not give it a try?
