Vote here for the day you want to be GM's/DM's Day!

(I know there's already a thread about this, but I couldn't start a new poll there).

By the way, March 4 stands for "March Fo(u)rth," sort of a command to gamers around the world. I think it is the best one because it is far from other holidays, and it is game-neutral. I think all the various D20-related ideas are bad, because it may alienate non-d20-gamers. After March Fourth, I'd vote for July 13th, because it is kinda cool. 7 and 13, the two most mystical numbers.

Though we all know from Sesame Street that 3 is a magic number. :)

Ohhh, now I get it! That was explained in the other thread about this topic, but I guess I'm a bit slow on the uptake. Could one of the moderators please tweak that poll option above to better explain it?

.

march 4th sounds the best in my opinion

edit: for some reason it won't let me vote, so just count me as an unmarked tally

I'm voting for "other" - meaning "when the Abyss freezes over", and "when orcs fly"... :)
Hmm... I wonder if, among the infinite layers of the Abyss, there is one which is a barren frozen wasteland of ice and perennial glaciers, inhabited by flying orcs. It would be cool, no doubt about that!

Unless something changes, I'm gonna tell my players tomorrow night that they have just under three months to find a suitable means of expressing their appreciation on March 4th :).

march fo(u)rth

I only just saw this...
I think we should go with March 4th. I suggested as much on the other thread, but am glad that the poll supports it.
Reasons?
A)It's clearly the most popular date so far.
B)It isn't D20 specific, The mooted idea was GM's day, not DM's day. This isn't a huge issue for me, but lets make it inclusive, not exclusive.
C) It isn't next to another major festival... December 20, while admittedly catchy, is right next to Christmas, and would no doubt be forgotten. July 13 is quite close to July 4th (which celebrates the day the USA saved the world from the aliens)
The only thing March 4th seems close to is Caesar day (March 15th)
D) D20 is too close to plan for, for this year anyway.
E) March 4th for GM's day is pretty catchy itself.
