Wal-Mart Shipped 3.5 Today

For what it's worth, I was just told on the phone that Wal-Mart has shipped my pre-order of all three 3.5 books.

I can't check this information against their website, because only this morning I had cancelled my Wal-Mart order thinking that I could get them earlier from an FLGS, Amazon, or buy.com.

Prior to this info, I was told I wouldn't get them until 31 July.

Anyway - some of you may be interested, so there ya go.

Walmart shipped before Amazon?

Walmart got their stock in before Amazon?

My world is all askew...

And Amazon's telling me they have no idea what the new ship date is.

Of course, to be reasonable, I already have my advance copies, for some projects I was/am working on. But they're a hassle to look through (3-ring binders), they don't take into account some corrections late in the process, and they don't all have art. I want my real books!!

(And there was really no purpose to the smiley at the end of the last sentence, but I wanted to be consistent.)

Patience pays. I considered -- for an instant -- changing orders when I heard about delays, but decided to wait until after the 18th to do that. Glad I did.

Of course, it figures they drop the price 89 cents per book, just as mine ship. Price on each book is down to $17.97 (I bought at $18.86. Feels like I'm trading stocks.)

I just received an email from Walmart that my Monster Manual is on the way. The rest of the books are supposed to ship next week.

My 3.5 books are only 115 miles away.

So as the subject says, my 3.5 books (ordered from WalMart.com) are a mere 115 miles away, according to the USPS tracking system. Should I drive from Cleveland, OH to Warrendale, PA (near Pittsburgh) to get them?

Dang, I wish I had splurged for faster shippping!

Amazon.com finally removed the "these items haven't arrived yet" and now say shipping in 2-3 days. Hopefully that means for those of us who pre-ordered, it'll get shipped today... which would mean I'll get mine tomorrow Yay overnight shipping.
