Wal-Mart Shipped 3.5 Today [Merged]

The WalMart site lists the 3.5 books as being "trade cloth" as opposed to "hardcover." Please tell me they are not shipping paperback rulebooks.

I'm suppose to get mine today from The World of Wally. As soon as I get an email from the wife that they are indeed there, I may take off the rest of the day. :D

I'm getting a headache anyway. *shrug*

"Trade Cloth" is a term used by the book/publishing industry. It means the same as hardcover/hardback.

(I used to work at a bookstore.)

All 3 of my books arrived in this morning's UPS shipment to the office. I got standard shipping and was originally promised arrival between July 7 and 11. Three days late isn't too bad, given the last time I heard from them, they said it'd be the 30th before they were shipped.

They are hardbacks and in excellent condition.

Mine are 'out for delivery', so. presumably I'll be hearning a knock sometime today.

And they're in! Predictably, while I was out getting the groceries - in fact, I saw the truck as I was pulling into the store parking lot.

At least he didn't just leave a slip. I'd have committed violence.

Mine left Memphis, TN this morning at 8:23 AM. Its around 8 hours to Dallas, according to mapquest.

I'll hold some hope they arrive tomorrow at my house. Tuesday evening will rock, if so!

Has anyone had a shipping confirmation from Amazon.com or .ca yet?

I just phoned .co.uk as they have had my order down as dispatch on the 7th July for the past week. The nice lady on the phone said: "Oh! I don't think we can get these any more. Do you want to cancel the order?"

Apparently not only do amazon.co.uk not have any in stock yet, but they are not even aware of the fact that it can be bought. They have stopped pre-orders, but have not yet started orders...

Does anyone know of a supplier in the UK who is not as terminally supid as Amazon so I can cancel my order with them?

regards,
Frugal
