Walking the line of LN and LE, HELP!

Something that I'm not sure about from the OP.

How will the other players (not PCs) react to an evil PC in the group? Does this interfere with the other player's (not PCs) fun?

Most likely the best course of action is to talk with the other players about the change and get them involved. I know many players who prefer heroic/good campaigns, and an evil PC would cause immediate group strife. Before the discussion, remind them to have their characters act as if they don't have the knowledge you're about to discuss.

If, on the other hand, the other players enjoy gray moral campaigns, then this is an non-issue.

I guess my main point is "don't be the person who says, 'but I'm just playing my character'" when the other players stop having fun because they feel blind-sided and not playing the type of game they want to be playing. Personally, I think it sounds like you have an awesome character concept and it would work well with about half of the players I've DM'ed; and it would work very poorly for the other half (here poorly means that it would actively interfere with the players ability to have fun).

The other players are more than aware of the slippery slope my character has found herself on and have infact tried to figure out if she would be deemed NE or LE since its obvious good isnt even in the equation any longer.
The only aspect I have not discussed with the group is my new prestige class since I believe it would hinder the rp'ing. Some of our group are still rather new to the game. Our DM has played for nearly 20 years, my brother and I have played in his groups among others for about 12-15 years so we have no problems seperating character from player information. Two of our group have been playing for about 6 years and still struggle with the concept on occasions while our last member has only been playing for about 9 months. I just feel that keeping it hidden out of game makes the in game experience easier for them, they aren't the type of group who would be petty about not knowing something like that.

I just need some advice on how to explain away my rather impressive amount of believers since they lack free will it is basically a case of I say jump they say how high.

Spend some points on Bluff and Knowledge: Religion {which is good for other reasons}, and let the other characters know that you have become a Righteous Captain for the Sovereign hosts. You abilities include an improved 'leadership feat' that brings you a number of followers who are all devout to your chosen religion.....

Use some of your domination to get the thralls to spout rheteric and donate a the local temples...
If you pull this off right, you could start a whole new religion and eventually have *real* Righteous Captains wandering around :)

This tactic also would double as cameoflage for your slide into the depravity of Evil..

Here's the way I see it:

a) If your characters are good RP'ers, then NPC's who "suddenly like and start following you" shouldn't raise an eyebrow unless the NPC's were obviously antagonistic to begin with.

b) If making people do your bidding serves the law, your LN character won't care one way or the other. If you make your thralls do evil acts, so what?

"A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs her. Order and organization are paramount to her. She may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or she may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government."

This is where people usually start mixing up secular law (as in a form of government) with Divine Law (as in alignment). Forcing people to do things against their will isn't Evil in and of itself (though maybe immoral), UNLESS they are forced to do Evil acts... but to the PC, even THAT doesn't matter so long as it's done to maintain Order.

So, if you're the consummate soldier-type that does what he must in order to save the day, and if that includes making people do what you say, then so be it. If he uses his abilities for purely selfish or whimsical purposes, then yeah, he's going to become more Evil than Neutral.

I say, don't sweat the small stuff. If you become LE, then you become the scapegoat to Get The Job Done - to do things that the other LG's won't do because of their silly morals and ethics. You're the guy that will shoot the prisoner when all else fails; the fella who'll steal the horses; the man who will bump off an Evil tyrant and lead in his stead because you want the power, not because you're bogged down with worry about the townspeople's well-being.

By the way, I <3 Lawful Evil.

The problem is that as a character she doesn't view it as good or evil, simply as a part of herself.

Whether a character considers herself, or any of her actions, Good or Evil is irrelevant to her actual alignment.

She doesnt care what has to be done or who gets hurt as long as it isnt her and she gets what she wants in the end.

The character is, or is soon going to become, Evil. I recommend casting Undetectable Alignment on a daily basis.
