Wall of Force...How do other players use this spell?

Maybe place it on the floors above so people on lower levels can look up at the swimers...

Now I have an idea for a theme establishment in my new campaign's red light district... (think: swim suits not allowed...)

Wait, is that Eric's Grandmother? Quick, hide that thought!

The most fun I ever had with wall of force was back in 2e. My party was being attacked by a small horde of quicklings. They were zipping around us in a circle slowly wearing us down. After casting see invisiblity I watched them until a number of them grouped up. *Poof* Wall of force right in the path of travel. About half of them impacted it at full speed (8x the speed of a man) which left a big enough smear for most of the others to dodge. A few more deaths from magic missile forced a morale check that they failed. Everytime I think about that scene I keep picturing beetles hitting a car windshield. :D

Wait, that's horizontal again. Am I having trouble with this concept or what?

HEAR YE HEAR YE, from this moment onward, Wall of Force can be cast at any angle the caster desires. Please consider this the Official Merak Spielman Campaign errata!

A pool would be an upside down hemishpere.

I thought of that, but it'd be nearly impossible to cross.

I guess it would be near-frictionless, wouldn't it?

I can see two options with the concave version...

1. Decanter of Endless Water - make the swimming pool, and float across!

2. Skateboard.

-Hyp.
