Yes, the 3.5 "disrupt" save replaces the 3.0 "escape" save.
If you try to trap someone in a hemisphere they may get a "disrupt" save. There is no "escape" save.
Note that a creature only gets to make a "disrupt" save if they're adjacent to the wall when it is cast. A medium creature in the center of a 10' or larger hemisphere is outta luck. (no save. at all.)
