Wall that dispel magic can negate

I think I'm gonna go with the energy substituted wall of electricity and the dispel magic scroll with the "auto dispel". It won't be the same caster doing both, because nobody knows who the original caster was, over 400 years ago, in a long-abandoned dwarvish tomb.

But the PCs are gonna be glad enough to have the scroll, I doubt they ask too many questions!

In which case you use that Q as a means of furthering the plot or a red herring.

Oh, definitely. After all, they're being given the scroll by someone who hates magic, to do a job this someone won't do because it involves USING magic. So why does this person even HAVE the scroll?

Or, maybe I'll have them get the scroll from a third party who owes the second party a favor. And then this party wants a favor from the PCs...
