I love story points. Their use would have greatly improved several of my prior gaming groups.
Seconded.

And the Kill Shot? I actually use that in other games I run, yet it never occured to me to import it into D&D.

Odd blind spot.

I like the Kill Shots idea.

As far as Story Points are concerned... Those discussions are mostly made in character and are one of the precious pure role play moments in the game. I would be very reluctant to cut them just to fast-forward to another combat/puzzle/challenge. If it takes too long, I sometimes drop a hint or tell the players to speed up.

I often find his musings to be a source of inspiration for something.

And I apreciate how big he can make the D&D box.

Other people seem to see a thimble. He sees an ocean...or a solar system.

He list his pcs:

The characters so far, starting at 11th level.

Doppelganger wizard. A descendent of Proteus.

Dwarf fighter. A human with hecatonchir blood.

Half-elf paladin of Aphrodite. Paragon path: astral weapon.

Elf ranger. A dryad/tree who's taken human form and inadvertently escaped destruction on the moon.

Half-elf warlord. A human with divine blood from somewhere.

We've got every role with a double-up on defender.

Note bold.

He changed the post!
