Want *SPOILER* for Flightplan

I saw a review of the Jodie Foster flick in the WashPost that claimed the film falls apart in the big reveal. I don't really want to see the film, but I do want to know what the deal was. What happened to the kid, if anything?

Again, not planning on seeing the film, so feel free to post anything about the film.

I read it the week it came out. Why that movie was number 1 for so long is beyond me. My theory that her daughter was dead and that why she went missing even though cliche, would have been a better movie IMHO.

Gah, I read Crothian's thread (thanks). It sounds horrible. Why must Hollywood always come up with these overly complex Rube Goldberg plots for criminals? It reminds me of Die Hard 2 and 3 -- multiple levels of misdirection when none is really that necessary.

It would have been a cooler movie if the daughter was dead.

It would have been a MUCH cooler movie if the MOTHER was dead, and had killed her kid, and didn't know it yet (and the plane's destination...think HOT).

In that case, it would just have been "The Others" on a plane...

I was hoping the child had died of a dangerous disease and the crew was coving it up so the passengers would remain calm until the plane landed and was quarenteened. still not original, but amusing to me.

Saw it. Hated it. I never thought the Arabs were the terrorists beucase in post-911 Hollywood, Arabs are NEVER terrorists and ALWAYS the innocent victims of racism, and if they had tried to have them be the real terrorists, CAIR would have sued them/boycotted/etc and that would have been on the news. OTOH, in movies law enforcement personnel are very often evil.
