Warforged- change Integrated Protection

If 5e had a detailed magic item crafting system like Pathfinder, with prices, level requirements, etc, then this would be a viable option.

As it is, it's far to hit-and-miss.
The Eberron PDF does discuss enchanting items, though a lot of it is just pulled from the DMG. It's still better than the tortle, who has a 17, cannot be enchanted, and only benefits from shields and magic.

Tortle doesn't need armour prof, making it very useful for druids, and some others. Sucks on a fighter though.

I'm not really sure why you need a system for scaling armour on a race. All it's useful for is keeping up with the magic item Joneses, which isn't necessarily good form for a rule system that doesn't really assume the gradual accumulation of +X items to keep up.

And yes, Eberron is magical, but if you read Wayfarer's Guide, they also call out that magic items more powerful than common and uncommon are still rare despite this. Besides, it could just as easily add a warforged only item to do exactly that in case magic item scaling does become an issue.
