Warforged are a non-human race that (typically) acts not-human.
Kalashtar are just another flavor of human + random thing.

Oooh, that's a tough one. I've enjoyed both races in both editions.

Ultimately I had to go with warforged because they make my little munchkin heart frolic with delight.

Golems?

Golems are not robots -- at least, not in their original form. They are more akin to Frankenstein's monster, except animated by the power of god rather than by lightning.

Even if I knew what a Kalashtar was I'd still vote "robot".

I'm not sure what a kalashtar is but it can't be worse than "robot"
