Warhammer 40k background question

I remember stumbling across a pdf file on the Internet a few years ago that detailed the nature of the Warp, the history of the Emperor before he became the Emperor (before he was born, even) and how the Warp became the home of blasphemous chaos daemons and whatnot.

And I can't find it for the life of me using google, or any other search engine. I think the text might have been a partial extract from one of the old Realms of Chaos books but I wouldn't swear to that; it might have been a reworking of info from that book into some guy's personal webspace.

Anybody have any idea on where I could find something like that? I'd love to find that original document again, but barring that, another source online that details some of that same information would work.

That would rock. It's a fabulous setting with depth and absolute... 'darkness'.

There are -no- good guys in 40k.

Excellent. I've been starting to really get into 40k as of late. Running a 40k in a flash league at work -- so I've been busy painting 2 armies for the store: a 500 pt. Space Marines and a 500 pt. Tyranid one. I can use this document to put some flavor into the scenarios.

Green Ronin have the rights to Warhammer 40k RPG. It's slated for spring 06 I think?

And the document was found... somewhere. There are some websites floating around that are dedicated to old old 40k fluff. I think I got that from another forum though, in a thread 100% similar to this one
