Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

The core rulebook, containing all you need to play is scheduled for release in March 2005. Weighing in at a mighty 256 pages, the book contains sections on character generation, careers, combat, magic – both divine and sorcerous, and religion as well extensive background information on the dark world of Warhammer.

Developed by Green Ronin, WFRP2 is a major revision of the original, which successfully retains the dark and brooding atmosphere of the original, while addressing and updating some of WFRP1’s more interesting quirks.

Plundered Vaults

Also released in March 2005 comes Plundered Vaults, a set of separate scenarios to get you started straight away! Featuring agents of the undead, flying skulls, kidnappings, Warpstone Potions and rather suspect sausages…Plundered Vaults is a 96 page treat for GM’s and players alike.

Character Pack

Finally for March comes the WFRP2 Character pack, complete with character sheets, and a booklet including all manner of useful information for the WFRP2 Character about town!
Bestiary

April will see the launch of the WFRP2 Bestiary, packed with all manner of supplemental information on the bad guys of the Old World.

GM’s Pack

Also launching in April, and featuring a great card screen, plus a booklet containing lots of additional information for the GM, as well as a great adventure written by Alfred Nunez.

Paths of the Damned

May will see the release of the first part of the Paths of the Damned trilogy that will take the party on a dark and hideously dangerous journey across the breadth of the Empire. Written by WFRP veteran Graeme Davis, this scenario will challenge the party to the very limit.

Beyond that, there are a great many additional products currently underway, more details on those later!

Can't wait!

Oh, the waiting....
So far, things look very exciting, looking forward to the revamped WFRP.
Currently running the EW campaign (after having played in a EW campaign).
Sure hope they remember to finish the EW...

The new stuff announced sounds pretty interesting anyways...

BRING IT ON!

They're not unfortunately (asked Simon Butler that question personally). They're not even planning to release the v1 material as ESDs :(
<sigh> If WFRP needs one thing aside from a revamp/cleanup and (finaly) some more extensive background material (on elves, dwarves, skaven, chaos, ...) its a revamp/cleanup AND FINAL CHAPTER to EW! I guess we can only hope for WFRP2 to be a huge success so it might change some peoples minds...

I'll be sending a prayer up to Sigmar, just in case.

I have all the Enemy Within released, and while I very much enjoyed them (some more then others they REALLY are poorly organized. Also some of the reasons for the players to get involved where pretty weak (i.e. heavy railroad). But the overall story was cool if you could figure it out ;) and the maps were GREAT.

I liked 'The Restless Dead' better... lots of short ones that could be worked together.

AND as to what made the world different the D&D or GURPS? Hmm while character gen was random (did not like that) but your Professions were KEWL (unless you got Rat Catcher). Also some professions were better then others (Troll Slayer vs. Rat Catcher are just an example)

The system was not that great IMO. I played it a few times and we HR everything to the point that we just played something else in the WH world. The basic system could be good, and from what I have GR is doing a good job
