Warlock 24-hr invocations

Hello all,

Simply put: Can a warlock have multiple, 24-hr invocations active at the same time? I can't find anything that says I can't, but I just want to be sure.

Thanks in advance,

I do not have a rules citation for you to support it, but that is the way that our group has played Warlocks. OTOH, there are rules restricting multiple eldritch blast enhancment invocations, so check that in Compete Arcane.

as long as they are separate effects, there is nothing saying they can't. Its like having multiple non-24hr spells up at the same time---if they are not the same spell/effect, they are fine.

Most of the truely abusable spells are singled out in their descriptions. For example, if you have an invocation that grants energy resistance, you can only have one up at a time, not one for each energy.

A good example is Dark Ones Own Luck, which gives a bonus to a single save. It clearly states that you can only have 1 save boosted at a time, and have to dissolve it before casting again. But you can have Beguiling Influence, and See the Unseen, and Devil's Sight all active at the same time. They dont do anything if you cast mulitple times, although their is no restriction, so feel free to cast it every rnd for no benefit.

The only abuse of 24 hr invocations is with a spell thief. A spell thief can drain your invocation, cast it...and then after 1 minute you can cast it again. Bam, you both have several warlock buffs on all day long.

It's legal, but the only real benefit I've seen* is having a sort of "buffer" against Dispel Magic. However, a single Slashing Dispel will handle that quite nicely.

* I never thought about the Spell Thief thing, mostly because I've never played one. Still, that is pretty nice.
