Warlock blaster?

Honestly, Warlocks do pretty well at blasting without any multiclassing at all. The base class is better at being a Controller rather than a Striker (to use 4E terms), but it can function as a Striker perfectly well. If you go that route, Dragon Magic and Complete Mage both have some useful new Invocations.

When he said "bonuses" he meant bonus spell damage equal to the Int bonus from the Warmage Edge class feature.

Plain single-class Warlock seems better IMHO.

Grab Eldritch Spear and an area attack Blast Shape Invocation, get yourself a Warlock's Scepter, and you're pretty much done.

I would have to agree that warmage-->ET is not really optimal. The only time it would be good is if your DM is in love with Spell Immunity.......

If you really want to go this way, Battle sorcerer or just plain sorcerer is great. Pick up utility spells that will help you survive, plus the cream of the crop blaster spells that arcane sources offer.

Variant 1: straight warlock with a 1-level dip into Artificer (Craft reserve and free Scribe Scroll is very good) as your 13th level. Warlocks with their high UMD, Imbue Item and Deceive Item are born to create and use magic items. That will compensate for the lack of options warlocks usually have.

Variant 2: Warlock 3/Sorcerer 4/Eldritch Theurge 10/Warlock +3. The ability to blend spells into Eldritch Blasts will make you a potent blaster, even more with Blast Shapes and such to affect more targets.

Nah, a crafter Warlock wants two levels of Chameleon as his 13th and 14th levels. The floating bonus feat is infinitely better than just free Scribe Scroll.

The Craft reserve isn't bad either, you know... it means items of up to 1000 gp cost no XP to create, and that's a great idea when crafting, say, Belts of Healing, low-levels wands, low to mid-level scrolls etc.

That's not what it does. At first level, you get 20 points you can spend instead of experience points. So it's saving you 20 XP on a single item.
