Warlock Eldritch Blasts

Warlocks basically get half level d6 damage. Evocation spells by spell level 3+ are doing CL d6 damage or better, generally. How do you have nothing close to that?

He was doing two blasts every round which are touch attacks if he hits with both that is 10D6 in damage. The DM also made a feat for him where he can absorb spells he takes damage but he can channel the damage into extra hit dice of damage so he was often doing upwards of 15D6 at eighth level.

My sorcerers barely have any damage dealing capability and still don't feel outshone by warlocks.

Well you might feel differently if they were doing more than one blast around. And had a special feat that allowed them to change spell damage into more damage dice.

And they could do this all day and night long so they and the rogue don't mind going on and on even when the sorcerer has run out of spells.

Well, it's been clarified. If the DM still allows it, get the Acidic Splatter Reserve feat and Energy Substitution (Acid) and join in on the fun?

She's not she printed out the FAQ and will show him next session.

So he will be back to 5D6 + his feat. Which I don't have an issue with because he can't use it all the time.

She is going to allow me to trade fireball for something else. I rarely get to use it because the rogue and the paladin charge into every battle and since both have the improved initiative feat most of the time they act before me and it makes it hard to use fireball without hitting them as well.

Perhaps switch it for Haste, then.

Also, look into the Nerveskitter spell in Spell Compendium. Level 1, immediate action casting time. You cast it right before you roll initiative and it gives you +5 on the roll.

I might do that. It would be nice to maybe go first now and then just to get an area effect off.

I have approached them in character about this. Something along the lines of you know I have these spells that can make our job easier now and then so how about letting me use them.

But they just can't seem to stop themselves from charging in.
