Warlock pact for NPC with demonic connections?

I'm building a warlock NPC for my game. What pact fits best (flavour-wise, not mechanically) for an NPC that has demonic connections?

There was a gnoll warlock NPC in Thunderspire Labyrinth that was pledged to Yeenoghu; he was, for all intensive purposes, an infernal warlock.

How would this be anything but Infernal?
Dark Pact sounds gloomy and all, but we're talking about demons. Demons are infernal.
As Trevelyan semi-pointed out, a devil background is more suited to a pact than a demon, flavorwise.

P.S.- My wife goes nuts about the "for all intensive purposes" thing, too. So "your" not alone...

Take the pact powers and choose which ones look the most demonic. Then turn them into Diabolic Pact by changing some of the cruch/fluff.

Add some Rage/Frenzy type elements.

They have said pacts don't work with demons, but seeing as how pacts don't really have any real mechanics in 4E (annoyed) other than a couple of fluff sentences that go ignored, I don't see why you couldn't make your own logic. Perhaps making a pact does not have to mean actually meeting and applying for an application with the thing you are making a pact with.

I imagine pacts in 4E are more like clerics in 3E, where as 4E clerics are running on faith rather than channeling divine powers (with the exception of the Channel Divine powers.)

Probably too much effort, especially with balance - but imagine a demonic, diabolic pact, raging warlock.

If it is an NPC, they have very little powers to use anyway, unlike a whole actual class, so it shouldn't be that difficult.

I agree Bleoberis, if you are building an NPC, I'd just give the warlock a few powers that are both warlock-y and demonic, made up whole cloth or based upon existing powers from the warlock and other classes.

I've actually been working on a primordial pact warlock, but haven't gotten as far as I'd like. But it focuses mainly on heavy damage, elemental attacks, lots of pushing, dazing, and knocking prone, to conjure images of the raw force and chaos of the Elemental Chaos. Maybe something flavored like that would make a good "demonic" warlock?

Or just look at some of the powers demons have in 4e, and tune them up or down, and give them to your NPC.
