"A warlock's caster level with his invocations is equal to his warlock level" (p. 7)

Ok, so when qualifying for Prestige Classes, where it requires "Arcane Caster Level 5th" what does that mean for the Warlock? Does it mean a 5th level Warlock? Does it mean he has to have at least 1 Invocation that is at least 5th level equivalent (basically Greater or Dark)? Although highly unlikey, what if a 20th level Warlock never takes an Invocation over 4th level? Is is caster level always going to be just 4th?

There is a section in Complete Arcane on what a prestige class needs to say for a Warlock to qualify; your answers lie there.

Yes. See pg.18 of Complete Arcane.

No. It's the caster level of the warlock that would matter, not the equivalent level of his invocations.

Immaterial (see above). His caster level is 20.

P. 71:

For feats or prestige classes requiring a minimum caster level, creatures that use spell-like abilities or invocations instead of spells use either their fixed caster level or their class level to determine qualification

So it's class level.

So wouldn't that mean a Warlock can generally enter PrC sooner than say... a Wizard? If the prereq is "Arcane Caster Level 5th", well that would be a 5th level Warlock. But a Wizard doesn't cast 5th level arcane spells until 9th level. Or am I calculating that wrong?

Caster level is different from spell level. A 9th-level wizard has caster level of 9. A 5th-level wizard has caster level of 5. (assuming they are single class characters).

There is a big difference between "Arcane Caster Level 5th" and "Cast 5th level Arcane Spells". The first means when you reach 5th level in a class that is an arcane caster. The second means when you gain the ability to cast a 5th level arcane spell.

...with full caster progression.

You have to add that last part. A hexblade is an arcane caster, but on reaching 5th level, your arcane caster level is not 5.
