WARNING! Major security leak found in Win and IE!

Ok I'm not sure what I got. Page loaded with no error messages, but I got nothing but a white page with small odd box in upper left corner. (did not appear to be calc.)

What does this mean?

Thanks

BTW I'm running win2000 pro and I.E. 5.5 128 bit

**Doing the happy MacUser dance**

Mac is 3E. It work the way it's supposed to. It does what it says it does. It doesn't do unexpected things. Things are consistent across the board. And people have issues with it because "a real computer would be harder to use".

Fact: You can set up a Mac to run Mac programs, Windows programs and with a little work, Unix. Any other system out there do that? Thought not. Pokemon my foot.

I use Opera to browse the web, and, at least in Opera, nothing happens...

Update: I tried it with IE, and, of course, Calculator appears :(

Personally, I think the safest thing is just to use any browser but IE and any mail client but Outlook and either disinstall those two or tell your firewall to keep them as far from the net as possible.

Actually if you have a good virus checking program it will be caught. My Norton AV system picked it up and reported it to me saying that it was the XMLid exploit virus.

If nothing happens but a blank screen, GREAT!
If you get an error message or virus warning, GREAT!

If it happens after you've disabled ActiveX controls, DANG!. I will try to find out a smooth way to disable this.
