Was there ever a Sorcerer-type build, but for a Cleric?

That is, slowed spell-level progression, but more spells per level? Was/is there a Cleric build out there that incorporated this?

Thanks!!!

I'm assuming you're talking about 3.5 and/or Pathfinder, specifically.

For 3.5, the favored soul class was pretty much a sorcerer using the cleric spell list. It's found in the Complete Divine book.

For Pathfinder, the oracle class is like this. Found here http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle , or in the Advanced Player's Guide.

Fantasy Flight Games also had a d20 sourcebook _Path of Faith_ that included an OGL spontaneous divine caster. It did not have the built in wings of the favored soul from WotC's Complete Divine.

WotC/Sovereign Press in their 3.5 Dragonlance Campaign setting also had mystics that were basically divine sorcerers who tapped into ambient divine magic.

there was a pamphlet version too back pre-3.5 by a third party company. wish i could remember the name of it and company.

but it was around 2001 or so release.

edit: i packed up my stuff for that version.
