Watchmen DVDs to tell Black Freighter Story

I love that they're keeping the Black Freighter in some form... I think the desire to keep it shows a desire to stay true to the comic, and that bodes REALLY well for the movie! Fingers staying crossed!

Have we heard how Snyder is going to handle the ending?
No details yet...but, then again, we have no details really on ANY of it beyond some images here and there.

Overall, though, it looks like he's sticking extremely strongly to the comic. I don't see him going through all the effort to make things accurate but then change probably the most essential plot element of the entire story. I'm still cautious, but the more I see the more I'm hoping we'll get a real telling of the Watchmen.

A good thing about Snyder is
he killed off everybody in the end
in 300 and Dawn of The Dead. So he won't be having any qualms about doing it again.

The more I see about this movie the more hopeful I get that it will ne a decent adaptation. I don't care if this tanks at the box office as long as its a good version of the comic. If Snyder can make the fans of the comic happy, then I'll be happy.

I agree, although I hope it doesn't tank... if it's reasonably successful at the box office, it'll be a lot easier in the future for directors to stay true to the original material, and be a bit more free from the Hollywood pressure to please huge audiences.

As for the ending, the only thing I've heard on it is fairly old news, but it's encouraging: http://dontwatchthewatchmen.wordpress.com/2007/10/29/no-changes-for-the-end/
