way to transfer large files via the net

Is there a way to transfer a very large file (e.g.10-50 MB) to the net (upload it, that is) and then download it onto another computer?

I'm thinking of somehting like what Yahoo Breifcase offers, but with bigger files (I believe the max file size is 5 MB and 30 is the overall briefcase max).

I've downloaded some pdfs to a computer at work and would like to transfer them to my home computer.

A lot of typical ISP accounts come with some ftp space. FTP (file transfer protocol) is designed to transfer large files over the net, and can be used from a standard IE browser.

I'd suggest looking into ftp as an option for all your file transferring needs.
