Okay so it was a clockwork moon in a demi-plane.
Only 500' up and not that big....

My players killed the knight of the village they want to take over. Interestingly, they are on the way to the knights baron to have a little chat. Wonder if he is going to end up dead as well...

MarkB : that clip nails it. We managed something fantastic, on a little bitty scale.

As for hardness, the moon was about a 10.

Oh we were justified, it was definitely trying to kill us. Or at least someone was using it to try and kill us. Summoning 1d6 moon-linked critters to attack each round. Our fighter was barely scratched, but soft targets (Bard, mage's familiar & archer) were hurting.

We also piled up 17 corpses while we were taking out the moon.
