nope.

my grandfather would've ground his bones to dust and used them to make a paste.

he lived to be 104. and made it into 3 centuries. the 19th, 20th, and 21st.

"Sir, I'm afraid we have a bad image, people see you as a bit of an ogre."

"Ogre, eh? I ought to club them and eat their bones."

I just lost my 95 year old maternal grandfather in early January. My favorite memory of him is watching Sesame Street with him when I was home from school sick as a child. He laughed himself silly watching big-bird watch a washing machine work. Honestly, watching my grandfather laugh was more entertaining than anything on TV, even back then. I miss joking around with him. :(

I'm going to ignore that! ;)

Sorry to hear about your Grandfather, Ambrus. I still have a full set of grandparents, and I've never felt the loss of a close friend or relative. I guess I'm lucky. Still makes me feel bad when I hear about other people, because I can't say I know what they're going through or say anything that will help. I guess I'm sorry will have to do.

Yeah, sorry to hear about your grandfather, Ambrus. My grandfather was a delight to be around too, but he lived in another country. When he died (a couple years ago), it was actually held secret. My uncle (who was the one checking up on him) didn't bother to tell anyone for something like a year.

Man, was I p/o'd.

Afterwards, though, I wrote an Ode to him. I'll treasure that thing.
