Wealth for tenth level characters?

What is the appropriate amount of wealth for tenth level characters in 3.5? I can not seem to find this information in the SRD, and a friend has my DMG.

That's for PCs. If the character in question is an NPC, they're supposed to have about 16,000 gp according to page 127 of the DMG. Have fun.
