Yeah, a +1 bonus isn't much if your wizard buddy can cast Vampiric Touch into it as a 14th level caster and allow you to get back 7d6 hp. If you cast it as a 5th level though that's only 2d6, stinks... Still nice for a +1 though if you know someone to recharge it.
