Web Adventure Games

For a while now, I have been playing a silly web-based adventure game, Warriors II: The Ultimate Fight. It wasn't deep, but it was free, well designed to be interesting for the few minutes a day they expected you to play it.

Warriors II, however, has just gone to a "pay to play" model to help pay their server costs. While the game was cute and fun, it isn't good enough to actually pay for.

So, the question for the collected folks is - do you know of any other web-based adventure games worth fiddling around with?

They started charging for Warriors II?

That's a riot. While I would absolutely play for free, I wouldn't pay a single cent. It's only just good enuogh to play for free.

I had been playing Warriors II since February of this year, Umbran. It's addictive but I was sad to see it go to the pay plan. I can understand why it did so but it still needed some stuff fixed. I have been looking at other online games & most of them seem to be going to the pay plan. It's bad for me since it was the only gaming fix I was getting (all my other players left & trying to find new players locally is like pulling teeth).

Oh well, I can't wait until November when SimCity 4 comes out so I can have another computer game to play :)

Or play some nethack, mmmmm nethack.

Oh, nethack is good. Very good. That's aprt of the problem. It's a little too absorbing for casual play :)

Warriors II had a built-in limit on how much you could paly - you only earn so many turns a day. So, you play those turns, and have to wait for the next day. It was specifically designed to only play for a few minutes a day, which I thought was kind of cool, and useful.
