Did anyone else watch the series premier of Weeds on Showtime last night? I thought it was funny in a jaded sort of way. And great to see Kevin Nealon back on the small screen even though he had a smaller part.

This show kind of intrigues me. Is it a 'dramadie'? style show, more towards the humour?

IMO probably more of a Comeda

. It seems like there's room for some drama but it's slanted towards 90% comedy/10% drama. The drama comes from the main character dealing with the untimely death of her husband, how that affects her family and how she's going to survive. But the comedy is her dealing pot in suburbia, and all the crazy stuff going on there. Parts reminded me of Desparate Housewives, like everyone having their own little secrets, but the secrets aren't nearly as dark as DH. I will definatly be tuning it to see the rest of seson one to see where they take it.
