Weird random event table, homosexual encounters/events.

Here's another.

In a heavily militaristic society, the ruler has decread that no man in the army shall have a wife. The intention is to encourage the fighting men to devolp bonds with their own kind, to help them fight together as a stronger force, and be willing to fight for their comrads. It worked to well, now few of the retired soldiers will have children due to their spartan training, threating the armies size in the next few generations.

that was the deal with the Turkish Jannissaries wasn't it?

Another theory as to the Turkish Jannisarries was that they came from Nordic descent and were not allowed to wed any of the turks for fear of diluting their heritage and therefore strength, but then they ran out of Nordic women.

and to remain on topic...

All babies in the town have been stillborn for the past two years, and the locals are beginning to blaim a lesbian merchant who came to town about that time, saying that her disrespect for the 'natural' way of things is causing the deaths. The lack of children in the area is related to the coming of the lesbian merchant, but only because one of the townswomen, a married one in fact, was rebuffed after making sexual advances. She cursed the babies of the town, hoping that people would blame the merchant. If the PCs are able to discover what truly is going on, they then will have to discover how to lift the curse, because the townswoman will not remove it unless the merchant dies now that her secret has been found out.

Heh, I originally thought it was just to silly, but I went ahead and put it in, it's number 48. Maybe some DM can do something with it. :)

But the post that inspired it (mine) didn't. The straight elf woman trying to use jealousy or racial arrogance to change the mind of the gay elf.

Now back on subject how a about situations where the sexual orientation has very little with the direct conflict.

The players run into a gay couple that is looking for a nice play to stay the evening while on the road.

This is the kind of think I was trying to think of to post here. Perhaps when I get home I will have more time to think.

Well this has made it farther then I had expected it to without a major problem. I’m very proud, Way to people.

A month ago a female paladin associate of the party died and the party decided to console and protect her distraught younger brother, who had been her squire. The party leader offered the young man the job of being his squire. However, the leader has only recently discovered that the young man is gay and has developed a huge crush on him. This creates a difficult situation for the entire party, as nobody wishes to bring the young man any further pain, yet the leader has no desire to "lead him on". He also does not want to go back on his offer of employement to the lad.

For those, just take your normal encounters and make the villain/client/victim/NPC homosexual.
