Weird timing bug

Hi!

I've run into a weird bug twice now. Apparently, sometimes when I go to the message boards from the news page, the server treats that as a new session. This means that the "last visited" time resets, which in turn means that everything gets marked read. I have no idea why this happens, but I'd prefer it didn't.

That happened to me either Wednesday or Thursday.

The same day the server reported my previous visit as a couple hours later than my last actual visit. I'm certain I wasn't confused, because on the day that it happened I was eating dinner when it said I'd last visited.

All this made me a tad concerned, so I did a few security type things, including logging out. That seems to have cleared both problems up completely, as I haven't had a repeat of either problem since.

It happened again today. It may or may not have something to do with actually logging in, as in typing in my user name and password, instead of having a cookie handle that.

Several of the links on the site lack a proper session tag pass along. I need to repair this problem at some point.
