Russia really fells like that kid who needs lot of attention and doesn't differentiate between positive feedback and negative feedback.
 

I'm really looking forward to that whole return of long-lost pathogens thing they were contemplating. Mmmmmm, yummy!
 

I remember hearing years ago (possibly an urban myth) about an academic researcher who cut his thumb on a medieval manuscript, and ended up having it amputated because the cut became infected by some long-extinct medieval bacteria.

I was working in an attic with 50 years of untouched dust in it. I got a splinter that got badly infected requiring a hospital er visit. this was about 2006. It taught me a lesson on old houses. They have old and nasty bacteria in their dust.
