Well, that certainly got my attention.

Glad things turned out ok, but keep an eye open for other symptoms and get back to the doctors asap if they show up.

Some of your symptoms sound like a panic attack, which I have had on enough occasions to recognize now, but the first time I thought I was having a heart attack. Go get that stress test.

And happy 40th!

Thanks for the good thoughts, friends.

Turns out my cardiologist went on vacation for two weeks, without leaving specific directions on which type of stress test he wanted for me (I guess there are several types). So, that'll have to wait for a couple of weeks...but I still have enough fear-of-god left in me to make sure I do go back in and have it done.

Another lesson learned in all this: self-diagnosis is dumb. I became very skilled at looking up stuff on WebMD and jumping to all sorts of conclusions. I need to remind myself that I'm an advertising guy, not a medical professional. Jeff Foxworthy once said that, whenever he and his wife are watching TV, and they're talking about some disease, his wife always says, "Oh my gawd, I have all those symptoms!"

(Oh, and Blue_Kryptonite...they already shaved me on Friday for the EKG pads... :D )
