Werebat question

Greetings-

I have a lycanthrope question. I dont have Monsters of Faerun (tho if I can find it I'll pick it up). My question is whether werebats have a hybrid form. Ive seen the City of the Spider Queen web enhancement and it doesnt mention it, which I assume is becasue of small size.

Also, I gleaned an older werebat conversion from Eric Noah circa 2000. It had a werebat with a hybrid form-human, hybrid, and dire bat, to be exact- and the hybrid had a claw attack. Advancement by character class. His CR take was 4.

Any opinions on this version? I am kinda looking for a human/bat shapechanger with claw attack for my game.

Thanks

It's not the size that counts, its how the template uses it; Dire bat form is, IIRC, Large size, so its often bigger than the creature's natural form.

That said, the template in question (from CotSQ, which is the most updated version) makes it pretty clear that it doesn't offer a hybrid form - not all lycanthropes have one of those.

Hubba hubba zoot zoot! (sorry, seeing your name makes that pop into my thoughts :D )

Actually, the most recent one is from Races of Faerûn™, unfortunatly, I do not have that book, so I cannot tell if the template has been changed.

It's worth mentioning that the template in RoF is the 3.5 Lycanthrope template - it isn't specific to any particular kind of lycanthrope, from what I heard.
