I'm most familiar with Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1. That album is in my top 20 all time for sure.

I’m pretty safe. I keep a large Xmas playlist for my class and that song is not on it. I don’t listen to the radio and I avoid shopping malls. The bars and restaurants I frequent wouldn’t play it. So unless it comes up on a YouTube video, I’m going to avoid it for another year.

It’s also less ubiquitous here than in Britain. Here the Mariah Carey song would be the hardest one to avoid.

Yeah no, George Michael had some bangers in his day. I had my annual re-watch of the George Michael scene from Keanu since this thread always reminds me of him.

I love George Michael. Just not this song. But I kinda hate conventional Christmas songs in general.

A neighbor two doors down from us (on the other side of the street) has a front yard of inflatable Christmas stuff, including one that plays an electronic "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" (and only that one song, an instrumental version) over and over. He's had it going nonstop for over two weeks already, day and night, without a break, and as soon as you open our front door, there it is. If I lived any closer to him (and/or could hear it playing from inside my house), I think I'd have gone crazy by now.

He's lucky one of his closer neighbors hasn't assaulted him yet. I've been joking to my sons that he probably set everything up and then flew to Florida until January.
